Jeff Hitchcock co-founded the Center for the Study of White American Culture in 1995 and continues today as Executive Director. In 2003, under his guidance, the Center started the White Anti-racist Community Action Network, an online community of more than 1,200 members. He is author of the book, Lifting the White Veil: An Examination of White American Culture in a Multiracial Context.
He started a publishing company that has published two additional books, including Walk with Us by CURE member Elizabeth Gordon. Jeff writes and speaks on the topics of white American culture, white privilege, and what white people can do to help create a multiracial society. He is a reparations advocate and has been a member of CURE since 2003. Some of his work is carried out in his faith community, Quakers, and he will soon have an article on reparations published in a major periodical with Quaker readership, the Friends Journal.
